Ring handles are made in the same way as the rings described on page 39, only on a much larger
scale, being almost three and a half inches in
diameter. They are twisted so that the rings will be made of the stained part of the rattan; leaving
the plain ends to be woven under and over where the rings are attached, (one on each side of the basket under the third row of weaving from the top) and afterward colored with the terra cotta stain.
